Solar Installer Out of Business in NJ?
Your installer may be gone. You don’t have to figure out your system alone.
If your solar company closed, stopped responding, or left you without clear support, Solar Advocates can help you understand what you have, review available system information, and work out the next steps.
Work directly with Tim Lakata, a Certified Enphase Installer with energy-sector operations experience. Monitoring and existing-system support are available for eligible New Jersey systems.
Get Help With My NJ Solar SystemWhere do I start if my installer has closed?
Gather your installation agreement, equipment information, warranty documents, and any monitoring emails or screenshots. Tell us what changed: no app access, missing production data, an alert, a higher bill, or unanswered service requests. You do not need a complete set of records to make an initial inquiry.
How Solar Advocates can help
- Monitoring access: help identify your monitoring platform and the steps to request or restore authorized access.
- Performance questions: review available production history, communication status, and system alerts to understand what needs attention.
- Warranty assistance: organize equipment and warranty information and help you identify the appropriate contact and next steps.
- Service coordination: help coordinate the next steps and review repair quotes when additional work is needed.
- Solar-credit questions: help organize records and work through NJ SREC reporting or payment issues.
I don’t have the Enphase app or a login. Can you help?
Start by telling us what you know about the equipment and the original installer. We can help you identify the access-recovery route. Enphase supports installer access requests that the homeowner approves; access is not automatic simply because another installer is unavailable. We confirm authorization and system eligibility before monitoring begins. See Enphase’s system-access guidance.
Does missing monitoring mean my panels stopped producing?
A blank app or missing data is not enough to tell what the system is doing. We start by separating an access or reporting issue from a performance concern, using the information available for your system. If more investigation is needed, we explain the next step.
What happens to my warranty?
Start with the written warranty documents. Equipment coverage, installer workmanship commitments, and any third-party coverage may involve different providers. We help organize those documents and questions so you know whom to contact about your specific situation.
Can you help if I lease my panels or have a PPA?
Tell us who owns the system and who bills you. We review the situation before agreeing on support, including who can authorize monitoring access and who is responsible under your agreement.
