A practical process for New Jersey real estate professionals

From assessment to monitoring after closing.

Give your clients a clear starting point for understanding the solar system, then help interested buyers arrange ongoing support after the sale.

1. Request the assessment

Share the property address, transaction timeline, and available system records. We confirm access, scope, pricing, and scheduling before work begins.

2. Review the written report

Receive clear findings about available equipment, production, monitoring, and documentation, with limitations and follow-up items your clients can understand.

3. Plan the monitoring handoff

If the buyer wants ongoing support, we confirm system eligibility, help coordinate available monitoring access, and arrange separate onboarding with the new homeowner’s authorization.

Ongoing monitoring is optional and separately priced. Monitoring access does not transfer automatically with the property sale. Explore ongoing monitoring and support.

What’s Included in Your Solar Assessment?

  1. Solar equipment identification and system overview
  2. Historical electricity production review
  3. Actual-versus-expected production comparison, where sufficient data is available
  4. Monitoring alerts and inverter status review
  5. Available equipment warranty information
  6. Available ownership, lease, and incentive documentation
  7. Non-invasive observations where permitted
  8. Professional written assessment report
  9. Recommendations for additional evaluation where appropriate

Clear findings, with clear limits. Your report identifies the records reviewed, missing information, access restrictions, assumptions, and assessment limitations. Equipment age and warranty status are based on available records. Production comparisons depend on sufficient reliable data and do not guarantee future output.

On-site observations are visual and non-invasive, subject to permission and accessible conditions. No equipment disassembly, electrical testing, roof-integrity determination, electrical safety certification, or code-compliance certification is included. Ownership and agreement reviews identify questions for your attorney, lender, installer, or other qualified professional; they do not verify title or provide legal advice.
